This Is the Year: 10 Steps for 2009

Doing New Year's resolutions on January 1st is so cliche. So I'm doing mine on March 3rd. (This gives me a chance to think out what I need and want rather than make knee-jerk declarations that I blow in a week.)

This is the year:

I learn a lifestyle that is healthier for my body, mind, and spirit.

I recognize what my limits are, and forgive myself for what I cannot do.

I focus on living in the moment.

I embrace those who are in my life, and let go of those who have moved on.

I adapt to the lean economy by deepening my connections to nature and the written word.

I stop beating myself over the head for past mistakes.

I understand I am responsible only to myself, my family, and those to whom I pay bills; all others who seek to make claims on me do not have that right unless I give it to them.

I do not expect other people will do what I will do in a given situation, and I realize this does not mean I am wrong.

I do what I need to do, and I do not need to apologize.

I work calmly, step by step, to reclaim my life.

One more pledge?
Pledge to be more green. start by having a tupperware party where i can tell you and your friends about how tupperware can help reduce the amount trash you create and clean in a more earth friendly manner. --Erica--

Re: One more pledge?
Yo, Erica, welcome to the blog! :-)

And while being more green and Tupperware are both wonderful things, I need to pass on the party for the time being (but I'll inquire if anyone else I know wants to have one).

P.S.: Thanks again for the loaner Snugli! Baby Ray really loved it (!), and I'll be getting it back to you shortly, now that Ray has "graduated." It was a huge help!
